Our first ever repeat collaboration is with my favorite: This Little Street. We partnered to create the perfect fall collection, paying homage to national park uniforms, little woodland creatures and the repeat of the popular Scandinavian wallpaper pattern in an updated mustard and hunter green.

Scandinavia and Woodland Flora and Fawna: Free Babes Handmade X This Little Street Fall 2016SCANDINAVIAN MUSTARD TULIP SAILOR BOW

What inspired the collection?

Fall, my favorite season of all! And my love for Scandinavia. When my two oldest daughters (I have four) were born, we lived in the Danish countryside where my husband is from. The time we spent in Scandinavia changed my style for the better—the beautiful nature, and such amazing design everywhere we looked.

What 3 adjectives would you use to describe it?

I would say cheerful, genuine, and versatile. From the bold red floral to the more discrete tiny foxes, my hope is you can find a bow that both you and your little one find fun to complement her fall outfits.

What is your favorite bow from the collection?

Please don't make me pick one!!! I am so excited to see our popular Scandinavian flowers print back in mustard (my favorite color) for this collection, but I have a crush on the red floral. It can turn a really simple outfit into something special! My two-year-old's favorite is the fox print—and I love how you can literally pair that one with anything!

How would you style it on your kiddo?

The red floral has bits of green, pink, mustard yellow, navy and rust orange in it, so you can pair it with a lot of things—from jeans and a cardigan to a simple little dress. I love letting my girls' curls loose and twisting a couple strands of hair back to secure with a bow. For the holidays, we'll probably do some fun braided hairstyle and use the bow as an accent.

What are a few essential pieces in your kids' wardrobe?

I think about half of my girls closet is Alice and Ames dresses. Seriously. We own other dresses, but these are literally all my girls want to wear, and I love them too! They are so pretty yet comfy for them to play in!

What adventures do you love to take your kid(s) on?

My kids are happiest picking up sticks and stones in the woods, being told tales by the fire pit while roasting marshmallows. Lots of hikes, and camping. Regardless of the place or the weather. Danes always joke that there is not bad weather, there are only bad clothes. My husband also jokes that it builds character. 😊

What's your favorite part about motherhood?

Watching the world through their eyes, and getting to know the little persons that they are 😊 I love having four girls, and the fact that not one of them is like the other.

What are a few of your favorite Instagram accounts to follow?

Some of my favorite mamas to follow, these ladies just rock: @courtneyadamo, @inhonorofdesign, @confettis, @livinglifesmoments, and @hannahargyle

What projects or adventures are you looking forward to this year?

We are planning a bunch of trips to Lake Tahoe, so that means tons of hiking coming up—and skiing too if the snow is good this winter in California! We'll also go back and see family in France (where I am from) and Denmark, and we always look forward to making more memories with our family there!
